Far far down, in the utter most southern depths of Sweden, in the town of Malmö is where you find it: the Southern Kitchen. With an interior of a bar from Memphis in the 50th, artist of country and blues, and an typical American food menu, it is close to impossible not to give away a little Yiihaa, when you enter. Fortunately, Downtown Ramblers will not pass through Malmö without a visit. On Sunday the 29th of May we try to add what we can to the southernness of Southern Kitchen. The show start at 19.00 and we would love to see you there!

The wait has been long, but we can finally announce the new album: On The Other Side Of The City! We have worked so hard to really make this a work of perfection. From arrangements, to individual performances, to mixing and mastering, to graphical cover, etc. It all reflects what we as a group have gone through, where we stand, and hints a very intriguing coming year.
We can also proudly announce two featuring artists on the album namely: Grammy award winner Tim O´Brien doing a beautiful duet with Emelie added with some extraordinary fiddling. And Fiddle player Brittany Haas from Crooked Still on three tracks!
To pre-order the album just go to our newly opened Store or at CD Baby.
January was consumed by one thing, and one thing only: Recording. The fact that we focused so much on rehearsing to be able to perform at our very best in the studio has had a positive side effect: all the time spent on improving the timing, trimming the vocals, reiterating the solo part over and over and over has led to a situation where Downtown Ramblers sounds better then ever. Another factor that has boosted our performance is the fact that when recording you are forced to listen to, and criticize your voice, rolls, bowing, chops, solos, etc. Breathtaking to say the least! Sometimes a thorn in your self confidence side, but a win win in the end.
We’d like to give a special thanks to Henrik Cederblom at Studio Epidemin for his great work and patience. We are now looking forward to continue working with Johannes Lundberg for mixing next week.
For those with access we can proudly announce that Downtown Ramblers first album is finally on Spotify. You can find it here
So, besides recording? Well we are very proud to do two gigs in Februari. First off Blå Stället in Gothenburg the 9th and later, specifically the 25th, we are once again visiting our beloved friends at Karens Minde Kulturhus in Copenhagen.
More info on shows in February is coming, as well as more photos from the recording sessions.
Love from all of us!

Studio Epidemin is located in central Gothenburg, on a hill in the area of Epidemic of Art.The studio residents on top floor of a old wooden house with nice views over the city. When building the studio focus lay in preserving the charm of the house, keeping as much of the old details intact, without compromising the acoustics. The result is a bright and beautiful studio with a relaxed atmosphere that inspires you to perform at your very best.
This is also where Downtown Ramblers are currently recording their upcoming album! Lovely
